Ariana Grande의 2018년도 발매 앨범, Sweetener에 수록된 곡입니다. breathin은 너무 유명해서 이미 많은 분들이 잘 아는 곡이겠지만, 저는 항상 화창한 낮에 혹은 밤에 시원하게 뻥뚫린 도로를 달릴 때면 이 노래가 생각나더라구요 :) 창문을 열고 이 노래를 들으면 정말 기분이 좋습니다. 그리고 노래 가사가 전반적으로 '지금 상황이 너무 스트레스를 받고, 예전에 좋았던 기억들이 떠오른다.', '숨을 쉬어야만 해' 라는 의미를 노출시키고 있는데요. 그래서 breathin의 업비트의 멜로디와 가사가 어우러져 속이 뻥 뚫리는 듯한 느낌을 주는 것 같습니다. 말도 많고 탈도 많은 시기에 발매한 Ariana Grande의 곡 breathin, 2년이 지난 지금 작품성으론 많은 인정을 받은 곡이니 만큼 한번 쯤 들어보시는건 어떨까요?

그러다보니 노래가 끝난 뒤에는 breathin만 기억나기도 하네요 :)
어쨌든, 여러 악재(?)속에 breathin이란 노래를 발매했고
자신의 상황과 비슷한 처지에 있는 사람들에게 작은 위로가 됐던 노래인 사실은 확실한 것 같습니다!
Ariana Grande, 한국 내한 콘서트 때도 태도논란이 있었지만
그래도 노래의 작품성이나 실력만큼은 대단한 것 같습니다.
우리도 살아가면서 가끔 너무 힘들어서 회사도 쉬고 싶고,
아니면 가끔 너무 힘들어서 도망가버리고 싶을 때도 있지만
현실이란 벽에 부딪혀 그러지 못하죠.
