일단, 처음 들었던 느낌은 우리가 아는 잔잔한 팝송의 느낌이었습니다. 기타와 느린 템포의 드럼 베이스는 정말 청중들을 늘어지게 하는 매력(?)이 있는거 같습니다 :)
Dean Lewis라는 가수는 사실 처음 접하는 가수인데, 저는 개인적으로 허스키한 목소리로 노래를 부르는 가수를 좋아합니다. 그래서 더욱 더 끌린다고 해야할까요? 반복적으로 들어도 질리지 않는 매력을 가진 것 같습니다. 또한 가사를 보면, 정말 흔한 이별 노래와 같은 느낌을 풍기고 있습니다. 하지만, 멜로디와 딘 루이스의 목소리만으로 색다른 매력을 풍기는 것, 이 점이 저에겐 추천드리고 싶은 이유가 되었네요 :)

정말 도입부부터 후렴구 직전까지 대화하듯이 읖조리는 부분이 이 노래의 킬링 포인트인 것 같습니다.
사실 가사를 보고있어도 바로 해석하며 따라가기 벅찬 부분이 있네요..
영어를 더 열심히 공부해야하나 싶기도 하구요 ;(

이런 느낌보다는 진짜 어떤게 청중들의 감정을 건드리는 포인트인지 아는 노련미를 뽐내는 노래인 것 같습니다.
사실 이별을 마주했을 때,
너 지금 힘들지? 다 알아.. 돌아왔으면 좋겠지?
이런 늬앙스를 풍기는 노래보다는 그냥 자기 경험을 빠르게 얘기해주며 '다 이해해'라는 노래가 더 위로가 되지 않을까요?
Be Alight은 딱 그런 노래인 것 같습니다.
